Doctor On Demand is an immensely useful feature if you’re having some sort of a medical problem. This app’s goal is to connect you to a doctor via the Internet, and hopefully a doctor that’s nearby. It will connect you to a board-certified doctor, who will hopefully be able to help you with your problem. The doctor can only do so much while talking with you over the Internet, though, so do note that.
It can diagnose some problems, but for something more complicated, you’ll need to actually go to a doctor. Still, talking to a doctor online can help you with a wide range of things, and the app has great reviews in the Play Store. A lot of people are more than happy with the service here. Do note that this app is region-locked, though, it’s available in all 50 US states, and the district of Columbia.

Think of Medscape as a source of a lot of medical knowledge. It is a great tool for physicians and healthcare professionals. If you continue using this app, it will cater to your interests, it’s expected to provide a personalized experience. It provides you with a lot of data, ranging from the latest medical news, to various expert commentary. You can get some professional education here, see CME/CE activities, and more.
There are over 400 medical calculators included in this app, and they’re grouped by specialty for quicker use. You can check out Medscape’s Drug Interactions Checker, Pill Identifier, step-by-step procedural videos, and more. On top of that, you can check out the most current prescribing and safety information on over 8,500 prescriptions and OTC drugs, herbals, and supplements. We’re only scratching the surface here. If you’re a diabetic, and are still looking for a great app to help you manage the disease, well, this is it. mySugr is a great application that will keep you on top of things. This app looks great, and it has plenty of features. You can use it regardless of what type of diabetes you have, it goes for Type 1, Type 2, and even gestational diabetes. This is essentially a diabetes logbook that you can use on your phone.
The app provides you with a personalized dashboard (diet, meds, carb intake, blood glucose levels, and more), and a Bolus calculator with precise insulin dose recommendations. Your blood sugar level graphs will also be provided here, and the same goes for daily, weekly, and monthly reports. MyChart

MyChart is another great app to keep track of your health, but this one is not focused on diabetics. This is essentially a hub for your health information. It’s supposed to help you take care of yourself and your family members. This app also allows you to communicate with your care team, review test results, medications, immunization history, and various other health information.
You can even connect your account to your Google Fit in order to pull health-related data into MyChart. This makes the app even more useful than it otherwise is. You will even be able to view your After Visit Summary for past visits and hospital stays. MyChart allows you to schedule and manage appointments, get price estimates for the cost of care, view and pay your medical bills, and much more.
GoodRx

GoodRx is a great app to have. Why? Well, it can help you save up to 80-percent on your prescriptions. If you’re getting prescriptions often, this is definitely the app you should at least try out. It has such a high rating for a reason, the app is currently holding a 4.8-star rating in the Play Store. Truth be said, not many people reviewed it thus far, but still, that’s an impressive feat.
This is essentially a pharmacy coupon and deal finder app, and it’s focused on the US market. It will provide you with Rx pharmacy discounts. On top of that, a medication and pill reminder feature is included, and the same goes for a medicine tracker. You’ll be able to check prices from GoodRx’s prescription list in order to save money on your medication. Medication can be quite expensive, so, if you can save a bit of money, why not?

Ada is yet another highly-ranked app from this list. It’s essentially meant to be your health check go-to app. You don’t need an appointment, or anything of the sort. You simply provide your symptoms, and Ada is here to help. Regardless of whether you have recurring headaches, pain in a particular part of your body, or some sort of an allergy, Ada can be of use to you, and it’s available 24/7.
This app basically uses AI to help you. It will assess your symptoms against its medical dictionary, and provide you with an answer. You will receive a personalized assessment report in the process. Now, this may sound quite gimmicky to some of you, but it seems to work great. Over 300,000 people rated the app in the Play Store, and Ada has a truly high 4.7-star rating after that. It’s at least worth a shot, don’t you think?

Medical Terminology Dictionary is exactly what you think it is. This is an offline encyclopedia of medical terms, essentially. You don’t need an Internet connection in order to access it. There are over 40,000 thematic articles at your disposal here. You can access definitions of medical terms, phrases, abbreviations, and much more. These are also deciphered in English here, by the way.
The app provides you with unlimited bookmarks, and you can access your search history as well, in case you need it. You can search for words, terms and phrases. New terms are constantly added to the app, by the way. The sheer amount of useful content here is astonishing, to say the least. The app is free to download, but you will need to pay up in order to remove ads, if that’s something you want to do.

Figure 1 is another rather interesting app that can benefit medical professionals, such as doctors and nurses. This app can help doctors provide a diagnosis. It won’t exactly be useful with regular, everyday problems that doctors are familiar with, but with more complicated diagnosis situations. Needless to say, cannabis can be quite useful for various diseases, as it can help with nausea, amongst other things. It’s quite popular for people who have cancer and are going through chemotherapy.
That’s just one example, of course, there are various different use scenarios. Leafy will help you discover the cannabis that’s right for you. You can explore various products including weed strains, tinctures, topicals, concentrates, and edibles. Weed strains are sorted by desired effects, aromas, and flavors, user reviews, recommended strain lists, and so on. This app is free to use, and it doesn’t have in-app purchases.
