The new Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 is bigger and better than ever
Samsung came to CES this year with some big dreams and even bigger monitors, and one of those monitors is the new Odyssey Neo G9, its best gaming monitor yet. The Odyssey Neo G9 is not only Samsung’s best gaming monitor though, it’s also Samsung’s biggest to date. Carrying a massive 57-inch display, immersive gaming has never looked this good.
Samsung has gone above and beyond here. Adding numerous features that can take your gaming experience to the next level. Aside from the large, high-resolution display, the monitor also offers a respectable 240Hz refresh rate, support for DisplayPort 2.1, a 32:9 aspect ratio and that beautiful 1000R curve that engulfs your visual senses.
And thanks to the matte display, the monitor will have less glare which should translate to less distractions for you while gaming.
Samsung improved the resolution for even more pixels per pinch
Samsung has been well-known for beautiful displays for quite some time now. And when it comes to monitors, the new Odyssey Neo G9 personifies that better than anything else. Samsung has upped the resolution on this model from the previous version. Giving you more pixels per inch to stare at.
It uses the same Mini LED tech as its predecessor, but the resolution is now Dual 4K with a resolution of 7,680 x 2,160. Basically, you’re getting ultrawide immersion like never before at an excellent image fidelity.
Granted, you’ll need a beefy GPU to get the most out of what this monitor offers. And with only AMD’s latest cards supporting DisplayPort 2.1 right now, options are limited. Still, the new Odyssey Neo G9 is a feast for the eyes if you take gaming visuals seriously. And it serves as a good reason to future proof the rest of your gaming rig.
All of this is why we’ve decided to give Samsung’s new Odyssey Neo G9 the Best of CES award for 2023. It’s well-deserved.
