Realme made the world’s fastest charging phone, and it’s affordable!
The Realme GT3 is a pretty impressive phone, but many aren’t focusing on a lot of the specs. What’s really impressive here is the charging speeds, and its price. Realme GT3 is able to charge at 240W, that means that it can charge its 4,600mAh capacity battery in under 10 minutes. And it’s priced at $649. Which is why it has earned our Best of MWC award.
240W SuperVOOC charging is the fastest in the world
Some smartphone OEMs have been working to make our phones charge faster than ever before, and Realme is one of those. But they have taken it to the extreme. There’s a number of smartphone makers doing 150W charging, but Realme is now at 240W. Which means that you can fully charge the phone in under 10 minutes.
Now that figure is under ideal conditions. Keep in mind that in the US, wall outlets are at a lower voltage than in Europe and Asia. So you might not get the full 240W in the US. The heat of the phone, and also the cable also play a part in that. But even if that is up to 15 minutes, that is still super impressive.
And it’s all in a phone that’s just $649. That is rather impressive as well. Considering a lot of flagship phones are priced closer to $800 or more.
It does have some pretty nice specs too, with a 6.74-inch FHD+ 144Hz display, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage is available. There’s also a triple-camera setup here, with a 50-megapixel main sensor, 8-megapixel ultrawide and a 2-megapixel microscope camera. It does come in two colors: Pulse White and Booster Black.
This is why the Realme GT3 has earned our Best of MWC 2023 award, and its definitely befitting of the “GT” moniker which typically means fast, when it comes to cars.
