Booking.com is, without a doubt, one of the best apps around if you’re looking for a place to stay. It stands side-by-side with Airbnb, as both services are excellent. Booking does technically offer more than Airbnb, though, as it’s a hybrid application. You can not only book a place to stay via this application, but can also book a flight there, a taxi, and so on. It’s trying to be so much more than just a book-a-place-to-stay app.
Booking.com is also well-known for its deals, which are app-exclusive. The app offers 24/7 customer service in over 40 languages, and does not charge booking or card fees. It allows you to chat directly with the property owner, and there are also a ton of filters that you can apply when looking for accommodations. The app will also provide you with paperless confirmation of your reservation, no printing is required.

Uber app does not really require any special introduction. If you’re traveling somewhere, and are not using your personal car, you’ll need a way to get around the place. Using public transportation may not be the best idea in these times, so there’s always Uber. This taxi service is available in a lot of regions around the world, and if it is available in your, you’re good to go, all you need is this app.
Simply fire up the app, request a ride, and you’ll get one soon after. The app will let you know how much you’ll need to pay, who’s your driver, etc. Uber also made sure that these rides are as safe as possible in these times. The company’s application is excellent. It looks really nice, modern, and it’s extremely easy to use. The app is completely free, though you’ll have to pay for rides, of course.

If you need to find a specific place in an unknown city, this app has you covered. The same goes if you’re driving somewhere, and you don’t know the exact route to get there. Google Maps can lead you along the way.
This app has a ton of features. Regardless if you’re moving on foot, by a personal car, or need public transportation, you’re good to go. It will also show you tons of places of interest on the map, so that you can find something to do. For example, if you feel hungry, you can easily find a restaurant on the map. Do note that you can also download specific areas for offline use, so that the app can navigate you even if you don’t have an Internet connection.

Google Translate is an extremely handy application to have if you’re traveling abroad, in a country where they speak a different language. This app saved me a number of times in such situations. It’s not only useful when communicating with someone, but it can be really useful to read labels, which is what I used it most for. You can simply walk into a store, choose the option within the app to translate labels, and you’ll know exactly what you’re buying.
This application has been around for a long time, and it has been getting better and better. At this point in time, it can translate between 108 languages by typing. If you enable the offline feature, it will be able to translate 59 languages without an Internet connection. If you need to translate conversations, it’s not a problem, Google Translate can do that as well, for 70 languages.

Priceline app is an excellent application to have in order to access various travel deals. That goes for hotels, flights, and cars. The app offers up to 60-percent off with “Express Deals”. You can save even more cash if you become a Priceline VIP member. Booking a hotel is extremely easy via this application, while the app’s UI also looks quite good. It’s easy to navigate, and the app is generally easy to use because of it.
You can choose between 290 car rental brands in 28,000+ locations in this app. The company also offers free cancellation on most bookings, and no credit card fees. A rather useful comparison tool is also available within the app, just so you can find the best accommodation possible. There is a reason why this app is highly-rated in the Google Play Store, it currently holds a 4.7-star rating.

The app has a database of over 199 million business and restaurant reviews.
The app will show you the newest, hottest, and top rated places to eat, and bars to drink nearby. You can also make reservations via the app, and order pickup or food delivery. The app also offers some interesting deals for dining and deliver places nearby. The moment you book a flight, hotel, car, or other reservation, you can forward the info to [email protected], and the company will instantly add it to your master itinerary. This app will keep all that information in one place for you, so that you don’t have to dig through your email, or anything like that.
You can even upload PDFs, photos, boarding pass, and digital passport QR codes to the app. Those are only some examples. The app will also provide you destination-specific guidance, and safety scores. It’s also a great companion when it comes to road trips. It will not only help you stay organized, but it has the ‘Navigator’ feature that will quickly pull up driving directions between two points for you. There are many more features to discover here.
GasBuddy

GasBuddy is an immensely useful app, if you’re located in the US, and you’re using your personal car for a road trip. This app’s whole purpose is to save you cash on gas. You can get a free GasBuddy card and save on gas at all times. GasBuddy will actually look for places that will save you cash on gas. If you get a card, you’ll be able to save on every pump, pretty much. It’ll save you up to 25¢ per gallon.
You can sort gas stations by price, location, and cost. You can also report gas prices in GasBuddy, and thus help other people save on gas as well. Gas rewards are also included in the offering, as you can turn your daily purchases into free fuel rewards. These are only the main features of this app, more is included on the inside. The app’s design is also quite nice, which is always a plus.

You can find unique tours via this app, and the same goes for food experiences. It is available in over 50+ cities all over the world, so the coverage is not out of this world, but you’ll appreciate the app if you find yourself in one of those cities.
You can get a local guide for personal tours, and can also chat with the locals via the app. Finding stuff to do in general is also possible via this application, while reviews from other travelers are accessible as well.
