Google I/O was going on right now, and the company just announced one of its most exciting devices to date. It officially announced the Pixel Tablet, and it looks like it’s going to be a capable device. If you’re wondering how much RAM and storage the Pixel Tablet will have, or the specs, sit tight.
Pixel Tablet RAM and storage
The Pixel Tablet is going to be a premium device with the standard amount of storage and RAM. There’s only going to be one variant of the tablet, and that will be 8GB of LPDDR5 Ram. There’s only one RAM configuration, but there are two storage configurations. You have your option between 128GB and 256GB of UFD 3.1 storage.
Other specs
So, for the other specs, the Pixel Tablet is bringing some considerable power to the table. Starting off with the display, the Pixel Tablet will have a 10.95-inch display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600. That’s a WQXGA display, and it’s like the 1440p equivalent for tablets. It’s an LCD display, and it has a peak brightness of 500 nits.
Moving on to the internals, the Pixel Tablet is powered by Google’s own Tensor G2 SoC. This is the same processor that’s powering the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. Also, it’s running the Titan M2 security coprocessor.
Moving on to the cameras, the Pixel Tablet has an 8-megapixel rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture. This doesn’t sound too impressive, but not many people use tablets for their rear cameras. You’re more likely to use the front 8-megapixel camera if you plan on doing video calls with this tablet. However, if you plan on using the camera at all, just know that you also have features like Magic Eraser, Photo Unblur, Panorama, Night Site, and plenty more.
The Pixel Tablet costs $499 in the US, and this is with the charging dock included. Pre-orders start today, so you can get your pre-order in now if you’re excited about it.
