Huawei has announced its new flagship earbuds, the FreeBuds Pro 3. These earbuds do look very similar to the Huawei FreeBuds Pro 2, but they do deliver a number of improvements, of course.
The Huawei FreeBuds Pro 3 come in three color options
Before we get down to it, one thing to note is that they come in three colors. Green-ish, gray, and white colors are available. Only the white model has a glossy case, the other two colors have a matte charging/carrying case.
These earbuds are rather small, as were the FreeBuds Pro 2. Despite their size, however, they do pack a lot of tech on the inside. The FreeBuds Pro 2 were outstanding, and the Huawei FreeBuds Pro 3 earbuds also look good on paper.
Huawei made quite a few improvements under the hood
The Huawei FreeBuds Pro 3 comes with a “Hi-Res Dual Driver Sound System, Crystal-Clear Communication and noise cancellation with Pure Voice 2.0”. On top of that, the Intelligent ANC 3.0 is included, and the same goes for a Triple Adaptive EQ (equalizer).
Huawei says that the Hi-Res Dual Driver Sound System offers an “excellent, true-to-life auditory experience without delay”. These earbuds can allow for sound outflow up to 48Kz, and allow it to drop to as low as 14Hz while keeping the quality.
These earbuds also support L2HC 2.0 and LDAC codecs. They’re also certified by both HWA and Hi-Res Audio Wireless.
Now, in regards to their Triple Adaptive EQ algorithm. Huawei says that it will ensure that the “user’s favorite music always sounds just the way they like it, offering exceptional personalized listening experience anywhere anytime”.
ANC has been greatly improved
The Huawei FreeBuds Pro 3 are also equipped with Pure Voice 2.0 tech, which brings 2.5x better voice pick-up during voice and video calls, according to the company. Thanks to enhanced Intelligent ANC 3.0, that should be the case even in the noisiest environments. Huawei says that ANC has been improved up to 50%.
These earbuds offer up to 31 hours of listening time on a battery charge with the charging case. Each earbud is allegedly capable of providing up to 6.5 hours of listening time on a single charge.
Yes, the charging case does support wireless charging, while it also has a Type-C port on it. The earbuds are IP54 dust and splash resistant, and they’re compatible with both Android and iOS, of course.
