The Huawei Watch GT Cyber smartwatch was originally launched back in November in China. The company did not launch it globally, until now. Huawei presented the Watch GT Cyber as part of MWC 2023, and it’s the most customizable smartwatch we’ve seen to date.
The Huawei Watch GT Cyber is the most customizable smartwatch we’ve seen thus far
Why do I say that? Well, because you can change the entire frame on this watch. Yes, you heard it right. Unlike other smartwatches, which allow you to exchange the watch bands only, you can actually change the frame itself here, along with the bands.
Huawei refers to this watch’s frame as the “Quick-to-Change watch case”. That way, you can basically adapt the watch to fit any style, for any occasion, all you need is a suitable watch case.
The Huawei Watch GT Cyber utilizes a “push-type buckle” design. Exchanging watch cases is quite simple, says Huawei, though you’ll need to use two fingers. On top of the watch case and band, you can also replace the rotating crown/button on the right.
It comes in three collections, and even allows you to change the “crown”
This smartwatch comes in three collections: Urban Edition, Sport Edition, and Elegant Edition. The straps on all three styles are made out of “high-performance rubber”, which is water-resistant. Six case colors are available, by the way.
The watch will even run an animation on the display to symbolize the changing of the case. That’s a really nice touch. It’s not exactly a secret that Huawei caters this watch to younger users, the company even said it.
The usual array of software customization is also available. Much like other modern Huawei smartwatches, this one also runs HarmonyOS. It allows you to change watch faces easily, and you get easy access to the theme store via Huawei’s app.
It’s well-equipped with health-related features, and has a nice, crisp display
This watch also comes with GPS, TruSleep 3.0 sleep monitoring, TruSeen 5.0+ vital sign monitoring, 24/7 heart rate monitoring, and a ton of sports modes.
It has a 1.32-inch 466 x 466 AMOLED display, and a 292mAh battery which will provide you with up to 7 days of typical use. Bluetooth 5.2 is included, and the Huawei Watch GT Cyber is 5 ATM rated.
