Several users took to Apple Community Forum Discussion reporting a host of issues after updating their devices to the iOS 17.2.1 version.
iOS 17.2.1 update is causing problems on iPhones
The most notable issue arising out of the iOS 17.2.1 update is that it is breaking cellular network connectivity on iPhones. Multiple users reported that they are unable to connect to their network provider. One owner revealed that they took their iPhone to a T-Mobile store and the issue remained unsolved even after adding an eSIM and a new SIM card. There was no VPN profile installed and no IP on the personal hotspot.
The issue with cellular coverage has caused an inconvenience for users. Apple has also not acknowledged it.
Additionally, in China and Japan, the iOS 17.2.1 update release notes revealed that it addresses an issue that could cause the battery to drain faster. However, users reported that they are facing overheating and faster battery draining on the iPhone 15.
