As we’re winding down the year and moving into the holidays, companies like LG are excited about the new year – with CES being the first big trade show. And it’s not keeping all of its announcements for January. Instead, it is making some announcements right now, including the world’s first 4K OLED Gaming Monitor with Dual-Hz feature.
This new gaming monitor is the UltraGear 32GS95UE, and it is equipped with a new Dual-Hz feature, which will allow it to switch between 4K at 240Hz and 1080p at 480Hz with a simple click. LG claims that this is a “time-saving innovation” that is easily managed via a hotkey and will allow users to instantly apply the optimal combination of screen resolution and refresh rate for the genre of game that they are playing.
Now this is a 4K OLED Gaming Monitor, so it is going to provide you with an incredible picture quality. It also has an incredible response time of just 0.03 milliseconds. That’s the Gray-to-Gray response time, which is really great for a monitor like this.
LG is also announcing 34- and 39-inch ultra-wide curved monitors
LG is also announcing two new ultra-wide curved monitors in 34- and 39-inch models. These are 800R-curved, with 21:9 aspect ratios. So not quite the super ultra-wide that we’ve been seeing as of late. They both sport a resolution of 3,440 x 1,440 and are OLED, which is not very common for ultra-wide monitors right now. Both of these monitors are also 240Hz monitors, with 98.5% of the DCI-P3 color gamut covered.
Finally, LG is also announcing two more 45-inch monitors and a 27-inch monitor to the UltraGear OLED lineup for 2024. The 45-inch models are going to be ultra-wide at a 21:9 aspect ratio, while the 27-inch model is going to be a regular 16:9 aspect ratio. With 4K and 2K resolutions, respectively.
LG has not yet announced when these monitors will be available, but we expect to hear more about availability at CES next month. Just as a reminder, CES will start on January 9, in Las Vegas.
