Motorola’s main line of phones exists in its Edge series. It released its Moto Edge+ earlier this year, and it’s going to launch its 2022 Edge phones. Now, Verizon is offering the Moto Edge 2022 on its network.
Motorola and Verizon share a tight partnership, so this shouldn’t come as a surprise. Verizon just announced that the phone is now available to get the Moto Edge 2022 with a contract. With the contract, you’ll pay $18.33/month for 36 months. There’s no option to pay it off over 24 months, as the company did away with those plans a while back.
For a limited time, you can get the phone for much cheaper. New and current customers can get this phone for only $10/month if they get it on one of the company’s 5G plans. This goes for all 5G plans with the exception of the Welcome Unlimited plan. Verizon is offering the 256GB variant of the phone with the Mineral Gray color.
So, what is this phone?
The Moto Edge 2022 is the lower-end model of the Edge phones. It’s a mid-range phone with some interesting features. While it’s a mid-ranger, it has a pretty premium display. This phone has a 6.6-inch 1080+ OLED that supports HDR10+ and runs at 144Hz.
It uses the MediaTek Dimensity 1050 SoC, and that’s backed up by 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. So, you should have enough power to handle all the tasks you can throw at it.
Moving to the camera, this phone has a triple-camera setup. The main camera is a 50MP camera, and that’s accompanied by a 13MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP depth sensor. As for the selfie camera, there’s a 32MP camera up front.
Keeping the lights on is a 5,000mAh battery, and the phone supports 30W wired charging, 15W wireless charging, and 5W reverse charging.
The Moto Edge 2022 comes with Android 12 out of the box, and it will upgrade to Android 13. If you’re interested in this phone, then Verizon’s deal may be right for you.
