After months of leaks and rumors, Samsung‘s new budget and mid-range tablets are finally nearing their launch. Official teasers are now live for both the Galaxy Tab S9 FE series and the Galaxy Tab A9 series. The former tablets have appeared on the Indian e-commerce website Flipkart along with a price bracket, though a launch date is missing. The latter lineup, on the other hand, has banners on Amazon India complete with a launch date.
Flipkart has confirmed that the Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ will be available for purchase during its “The Big Billion Days” sale event, which kicks off tomorrow, September 27. The platform will gradually unlock the deals over the next week, so it’s unclear when the new Samsung tablet will be official. However, we can see that it will have a launch price of ₹3_,__9, i.e. somewhere between ₹30,009 (roughly $360) and ₹39,999 (roughly $480).
This pricing should be for the base variant of the tablet, which comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The higher-end variant (12GB+256GB) will cost more. However, the price is nowhere close to the previously rumored figure of ₹63,000 for the 6GB+128GB Galaxy Tab S9 FE (not the Plus model). We still don’t have a pricing for the base model. The launch date for these tablets is also missing from this retail listing.
However, earlier leaks have suggested an October 4 launch of the new Fan Edition (FE) tablets, as well as the Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Buds FE, and the Galaxy SmartTag 2. Flipkart’s sales event will still be around then, so the reported launch date might be accurate. Samsung is already teasing the new FE phone on the e-commerce website, while leaks have revealed its key specs. We will let you know when we have more details.
The Galaxy Tab A9 series to debut on October 5
If these devices don’t go official on October 4, Samsung may take the wraps off them the following day. Amazon India has confirmed an October 5 launch of the Galaxy Tab A9 series. The e-commerce giant is also gearing up to launch its “Great Indian Festival” sale event in the coming days.
As of this writing, Samsung hasn’t officially announced the launch of any of these Galaxy products. It’s unclear if the Galaxy Tab S9 FE, Galaxy Tab A9, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Buds FE, and Galaxy SmartTag 2 will launch globally next month or if it will be an India-only launch initially. We shall find out soon.
