OnePlus has announced the OnePlus Ace 3 in China, the OnePlus 12R’s twin. In addition to that, the company also announced an audio product. The OnePlus Buds 3 truly wireless earphones were announced.
The OnePlus Buds 3 have been announced alongside the OnePlus Ace 3
These earbuds come in a squarish charging case with rounded corners. Each of the earbuds has touch panels on them, and while the case has matte plastic on it, the earbuds do not. They are quite shiny.
OnePlus opted for a coaxial dual-unit design here, as the company believes this benefits sound output. One of the standout features here is ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) support of up to 49dB. There are also two different levels of ANC that you can utilize (three in total), they offer 20dB and 10dB of noise cancellation.
Another feature worth highlighting is LHDC 5.0 Hi-Res audio support. These earbuds also offer IP55 certification for water and dust resistance and a solid battery life is promised by the company.
OnePlus included a 10.4mm driver here
The OnePlus Buds 3 earbuds have a frequency range of 15Hz-40KHz, and OnePlus included a 10.4mm driver on the inside. There are three microphones included, and OnePlus quotes low 94ms latency.
In addition to the three levels of ANC that I mentioned, the Transparency mode is also on board. 3D surround space sound effects are also in play here, as is Dynamic Bass technology.
A 58mAh battery sits inside each of the earbuds. The case itself has a 520mAh battery pack. Fast charging is supported via the Type-C port. The company says that a 10-minute charge can get you 7 hours of music playback.
The battery life is really good, according to OnePlus’ numbers
In terms of battery life, OnePlus says that each earbud provides 6.5 hours of use time with ANC on (28 hours with the case). With ANC off, you can get up to 10 hours of playtime (44 hours with the case included). Needless to say, that’s really good.
The OnePlus Buds 3 comes in Space Ash and Sunny Sea Blue color options. They are priced at CNY499 ($70) in China. These earbuds will almost certainly launch globally too, alongside the OnePlus 12R on January 23.
