Samsung’s Odyssey Neo G9 is one huge gaming monitor that comes with an equally huge price tag, but right now Amazon has a discount on it that brings the price down by a considerable amount. The regular price for this monitor is $2,499.99. It’s most certainly a hefty price, but not surprising given its size, panel technology, and that it comes from Samsung.
You can get away with paying less for it though. Because right now Amazon has shaved $500 off the price, bringing it down to $1,999.99. This is Samsung’s latest Odyssey Neo G9 model which comes with a 57-inch display. It has a dual 4K UHD resolution and a 240Hz refresh rate, so you get crisp, vivid visuals and smooth gameplay. One of the big things with the Odyssey Neo G9 57, other than its size, is that it uses Quantum Matrix technology. What this is, is essentially thousands of Quantum Mini LEDs for a vastly brighter picture with improved contrasts of colors and blacks.
The end result is an exceptionally bright display with great color. Better still, is that it supports HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 2.1. With these inputs, you can connect up a PC and a console like the Xbox Series X or PlayStation 5, and expect to get those faster frame rates at higher resolution. In short, the monitor is ready to provide the best possible gaming experience.
One of my favorite features is the picture-by-picture feature. With this enabled you can have two different video sources on-screen at the same time. So you could for example have your console game up on one side. Then a YouTube help guide up from your PC on the other. Or if you’re streaming you could be playing your console game while viewing your stream chat. If you’re using two monitors side by side, this is the perfect replacement.
