Samsung has come to CES 2024 with a boatload of new TVs, projectors, monitors, and so much more. However, something that really caught our eye was The Premiere 8K.
This new projector, according to Samsung, is the world’s first 8K projector with wireless connectivity. And that is thanks to a new Wireless One Connect Box that is able to transmit your content to the projector within 10 meters of the viewing area. It’s also the first to offer a 100-watt output, Dolby Atmos, and Sound-on-Screen technology that is going to create theater-like sound in your living room. The Premiere 8K is able to project up to a 150-inch image from just 12 inches away from the wall.
It’s super bright, too, rated at 4,000 lumens. So even in a room with plenty of ambient lighting, you’ll be able to see the picture. With the new Wireless One Connect, you get the freedom to configure your space and hook up peripheral devices without messy and complex wiring. This can be placed anywhere so that it can beautifully blend into the room with a premium design. It has a lens cap and metal, wood, and rounded corner finishes.
Samsung’s The Premiere 5 is a new triple-laser UST Projector
On top of the new 8K model, Samsung also has The Premiere 5, which is a triple-laser ultra-short throw projector and touch interaction device. It’s being called “the world’s most compact” UST projector. It is able to deliver a high-quality, bright projection and makes setup easy with automatic focus and alignment for both the display and the touch-screen feature. It is also flexible as a smart speaker for immersive audio experiences.
You are able to place The Premiere 5 just 17 inches away from a wall to project a 100-inch image. It will also automatically adjust for focus, keystone, and color balance, which will help provide the perfect image.
Samsung notes that all of the Premiere 2024 models come with a new feature called Lightwarp. This is able to turn any object in the room into an interactive display surface. It is the first time that projection mapping has been available in a responsive way outside of a professional setting.
Additionally, Samsung will be introducing The Premiere 7 and The Premiere 9 models. These will all offer a Quantum 4K processor and Dolby Atmos sound for a theater-like experience.
So far, there’s no word on availability or pricing for any of Samsung’s new projectors.
