T-Mobile might have one of the best deals on the Pixel 8 you’ll find. As the Un-Carrier wants to give you a Pixel 8 for free. If you’re more of a Pro person, you can also get $800 knocked off the Pixel 8 Pro. There are of course caveats. Because of course there are. T-Mobile wouldn’t just let you walk into the store, hand you a Pixel 8 series phone for nothing or next to nothing then walk out. It’s going to want something in return. Luckily, what it wants isn’t too bad of a deal. If you missed the big announcement, Google has officially announced the Pixel 8 series today alongside the launch of Android 14 which comes on both devices.
Basically, you just need to add a new line of service to your account and when you do that, you can snag the Pixel 8 for free. Or as mentioned, you’ll get $800 of the Pixel 8 Pro should you want the Pro model phone instead. This will only be eligible on certain plans which include the Go5G Plus, Go5G Next, Go5G Business Plus, or Go5G Business Next plans. The promotion is also being offered if you’re switching to T-Mobile on an eligible Business Unlimited plan.
Trade in your old phone to get a free Pixel 8 from T-Mobile
If you don’t want or need a new line of service there’s still a way to get the phone with this promotion. You can trade in your old device. There are multiple options here for trade-ins. So here’s the breakdown. If you trade in an eligible device on the Go5G Plus, Go5G Next, Go5G Business Plus, or Go5G Business Next plans, you can get the Pixel 8 for free or $800 of the Pixel 8 Pro. If you don’t have any of the eligible devices that allow for a free phone, you can still trade in other devices and get up to $500 off either of the new Pixel 8 or Pixel 8 Pro if you’re on Go5G, Magenta and more plans.
Additionally, you can get $400 off when adding an eligible line to those plans without a trade-in. There’s one last deal T-Mobile has for customers. If you buy a new Pixel 8 or Pixel 8 Pro, you can get the Pixel Watch 2 for free. Not too shabby if you wanted to upgrade across the board with a new phone and a new smartwatch.
One last caveat here is that, if we’re reading things right, the free phone is split up as 24 monthly credits to your bill. So if you’re getting the phone for free, then T-Mobile is going to take the cost of that phone and apply it to your bill. You’re essentially still paying for it. But T-Mobile is giving it back to you by making your bill cheaper. Still, that makes for a pretty good deal. If you’re looking to upgrade you can buy the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro from T-Mobile online.
