This month’s list of best Chinese smartphones is somewhat similar to last month’s, but with one major change, the Huawei Mate 10 Pro is now included in the list, while its P10 and P10 Plus siblings have been removed. The OnePlus 5T is still leading the pack, while the Huawei Mate 10 Pro managed to place itself right below OnePlus’ offering. Two Xiaomi-branded devices are included on the list as well, as is one Honor-branded smartphone. 5. Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus
The Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus is a mid-range smartphone, a very compelling mid-ranger, which is also quite affordable at the same time. The Redmi 5 Plus is made out of metal, and it sports considerably thinner bezels than its predecessor, the Redmi Note 4. The Redmi 5 Plus features a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, and the device comes with a 5.99-inch fullHD+ (2160 x 1080) display. 4. Honor 9
The Honor 9 is still one of the best compact smartphones out there. This handset is made out of metal and glass, while it is fueled by the Kirin 960 64-bit octa-core SoC. The phone features a dual camera setup on its back, while a fingerprint scanner is placed right below its display. The Honor 9 comes in both 4GB and 6GB RAM variants, while it features a 5.15-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display. Android 7.0 Nougat comes pre-installed on the phone, but it is upgradable to Android 8.0 Oreo, which will also bring Huawei’s Emotion UI (EMUI) 8.0 skin along with it. The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 is still the company’s flagship, though the Mi MIX 2S will land later this month. In any case, the Mi MIX 2 features a 5.99-inch fullHD+ (2160 x 1080) display, while it was announced in both 6GB and 8GB RAM variants. The phone is fueled by the Snapdragon 835 64-bit octa-core SoC, while one of its variants is made out of metal and glass, and the other one sports a ceramic unibody build. The phone comes with really thin bezels, and it features a single camera on its back, below which you will notice a fingerprint scanner. The Huawei Mate 10 Pro is one of Huawei’s Mate 10 flagships which were announced at the end of last year. The Huawei Mate 10 Pro features really thin bezels, it is made out of metal and glass, and it sports a dual camera setup on its back. Leica’s lenses are included in this package, while the phone’s fingerprint scanner lies on the back. Huawei’s Kirin 970 64-bit octa-core processor fuels the Mate 10 Pro, while the device comes in both 4GB and 6GB RAM variants. The phone features a 6.01-inch fullHD+ Optic AMOLED display, and it comes in both 6GB and 8GB RAM variants with 64GB and 128GB of storage, respectively.
